The Epson 340 Claria Photo HD Black cartridge (T340120-S) is a standard-capacity black cartridge for the Expression Photo XP-8800. Claria Photo HD is Epson’s six-color photo ink set, and this cartridge is one of the four core colors used alongside light cyan and light magenta for smooth photo tones. Epson rates the standard black cartridge at about 240 ISO pages; a high-capacity 340XL version is also available for heavier use. All six colors must be installed for the printer to work. Because each color is a separate cartridge, only the color that runs out needs replacing, so ink left in the other cartridges keeps being used.
